When Dancing With the Stars return next season, it’s going to have a very different feel now that it’s lost one of it’s key players, Karina Smirnoff. But why would the dancer leave such a sweet gig? Season 2 contestant Tia Carrere thinks she knows the reason: Karina couldn’t bear working with her ex-fiance, Maksim Chmerkovskiy!

“She’s probably trying to get over Maksim.” Tia, 43, told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively at the “Get Lucky for Lupus” event in West Hollywood Feb. 25. She added, “Well, they were engaged and they broke up, so I don’t know, it’s what I’d do.”

Karina, 32, began dating fellow DWTS dancer Maksim, 30, in July 2008 and became engaged a quick six months later. At first, there was nothing but love between the two as Karina planned a gigantic fairytale wedding, but as things turned sour following their joint Broadway show, Burn the Floor, last summer, the couple ultimately split in September, 2009.

Poor Karina! Hell, it’s awkward enough to run into an ex if you see them walking down the street or bump into them with their new girlfriend, but to have to see them every single day at work. Horrific.

Lady Gaga takes HIV test

The 23-year-old said she made sure to get a sexual health screening in New York because she 'forgot to look after her body properly when performing live shows for The Monster Ball Tour concerts', Showbiz Spy reported.

"I had an HIV test two days ago – and it's not because I'm taking my clothes off every night with a different man.

"When I'm on the road, I forget about taking care of my body. I don't go to the doctor as regularly as if I were in one place all the time.

"So I woke up and though, 'Oh, I'm home in New York. I'm going to see my gyno and I'm getting an HIV test'," she said.

The Brit Award winning pop star actively encourages women to carry condoms in their purses to save their own lives.

She says she wants it to be fashionable and smart to always carry a condom.

Tiger Woods Public Apology

Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren Golf star Tiger Woods is very sorry about his behaviour.

So sorry in fact that he feels the need to announce it to the world.

He's set to make a big public apology this Friday.

Tiger's agent Mark Steinberg and his spokesman Glenn Greenspan have announced that Tiger will speak to a small group of friends, colleagues and reporters tomorrow at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Mark said: "Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologise for his behaviour.

"While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between he and his wife, he also recognises that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him.

"He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends and that's what he's going to discuss."

While press will be there Mark insisted that questions wouldn't be allowed.

It will be the first time Tiger has spoken in public since he crashed his car outside his family home in Florida last November.

Since then there has been revelations and speculation about his affairs with various women.

Charlie Sheen Charged

Charlie Sheen has been formally charged.

The actor was in court relating to an incident on Christmas Day where he allegedly attacked his wife Brooke Mueller.

If found guilty of the three counts against him (felony menacing, third-degree assault and criminal mischief) the actor could face one to three years in prison.

Charlie appeared in court with his wife - and, in the same hearing, Judge James Boyd lifted a protective order preventing the pair from communicating. The couple are rumoured to want to start living together again as soon as they can.

The actor has yet to enter a plea for the charges. The next court hearing is scheduled for 15th March.

Katie's Baby

Katie Price has revealed that she and Alex Reid are trying for a baby.

Speaking on GMTV this morning, Katie said: "Me and Alex so want kids. We are trying, so let's hope, let's hope.

"I can't wait to get pregnant."

Meanwhile, Alex has reached out to Peter Andre, following the Aussie's tearful interview last week.

The cage-fighter said: "I've got no problem with Pete and am not trying to replace him in the kids' lives in any way.’

Katie also spoke out against claims that her and Alex are already on the rocks.

Speaking on this morning's GMTV, Katie said that she and Alex were "so happy", and blasted claims that they were set to split, just a week after the wedding: "If people really believe this there has got to be something wrong. It's a joke."

Alex said: "The ceremony was at the Wynn hotel and we kept it pretty simple. There are pictures of us choosing our rings but it's a secret how much they cost."

Katie denied reports that she had sold her wedding to a magazine: "As it stands we have not done a magazine deal.

It's the wedding we'd all been expecting...

Yes, Katie Price and Alex Reid have tied the knot in Las Vegas.

A statement released by their agent said: "Katie and Alex are delighted to announce that they got married in a private, simple ceremony at 4pm (PST) on February 2nd in Las Vegas."

The couple said: "We are very much in love and look forward to the future together. We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes."

And, following reports that Katie had figured out a commercial plan to make the maximum profit from a union, the spokesperson added: "Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place, and their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other."

There are rumours that the ceremony was filmed by ITV cameras for Katie's latest reality series, but it is not yet known whether any such footage will be aired on the show.

This news follows Katie and Alex's revelations in OK! magazine that they plan on having children this year.

Katie told the magazine: "I know this year we will get married and this year we will have kids. It's what we want."

Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex said he popped the question to Katie in September and "it's something we've been discussing for some time".

The pair briefly split, after Katie dumped Alex on live TV on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

But she described dumping Reid as "a regret" and was "heartbroken" at breaking off the relationship, so it wasn't long before the couple were reunited.

Charlize Theron has been with her boyfriend, Stuart Townsend, for nine years and there have never been any rumors of the two splitting until now.

Charlize reportedly told friends that they split after a trip to Mexico during the Christmas holiday.

A friend of the couple said: “Stuart is gutted but Charlize said that she realised during the Mexican holiday the relationship was over. They had become more like brother and sister than lovers. It was she who ended it.”

A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “She loved Stuart but their relationship ran its course. He is heartbroken but she is insisting it is over. Charlize was surprised the story hadn’t come out yet. But she didn’t confirm it because she wanted to break the news in her own time.”

The two never married because they felt like they were committed enough to each other and they didn't need a piece of paper to tell them how much they love each other.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have put on a united front, just one week after rumours of a split.

The high-profile couple attended the 62nd Annual Directors Guild Of America awards in LA on Saturday night, after missing last week's Sag awards.

According to onlookers, the couple, who didn't pose together on the red carpet, were giggling and being affectionate all evening.

Angelina wore a strapless Elie Saab gown and gold hoop earrings and happliy signed autographs for fans.

Brad, 46, still sporting his scruffy beard, smiled happily for photographers and gave a jokey speech about director Quentin Tarantino: "He is a joy to work for and he is a joy to work with and if you have happened to have forgotten what you loved about movies in the first place, I tell you, you only have to spend one night with Quentin.
