Tia Carrere with boyfriend
When Dancing With the Stars return next season, it’s going to have a very different feel now that it’s lost one of it’s key players, Karina Smirnoff. But why would the dancer leave such a sweet gig? Season 2 contestant Tia Carrere thinks she knows the reason: Karina couldn’t bear working with her ex-fiance, Maksim Chmerkovskiy!
“She’s probably trying to get over Maksim.” Tia, 43, told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively at the “Get Lucky for Lupus” event in West Hollywood Feb. 25. She added, “Well, they were engaged and they broke up, so I don’t know, it’s what I’d do.”
Karina, 32, began dating fellow DWTS dancer Maksim, 30, in July 2008 and became engaged a quick six months later. At first, there was nothing but love between the two as Karina planned a gigantic fairytale wedding, but as things turned sour following their joint Broadway show, Burn the Floor, last summer, the couple ultimately split in September, 2009.
Poor Karina! Hell, it’s awkward enough to run into an ex if you see them walking down the street or bump into them with their new girlfriend, but to have to see them every single day at work. Horrific.

Heidi Turns Designer
The surgery-loving reality star has made herself outfits that fit her newly enhanced body and has plans to roll out the designs to the public.
"This is just the beginning," she warned People magazine.
"I’d really love to eventually wear mostly my only designs. And I really would love to do a low-end line (for my) fans and it can be really accessible and then a one of a kind couture line to really showcase my creativity.”
Hmm, we can't wait to see the results.
Heidi wore one of her own designs earlier this month when she hosted a party in Las Vegas (left).
She said of the dress: "Pink is a colour full of love and it’s so vibrant and beautiful and it was, of course, very festive.
"It was exactly what I wanted to wear for my new body. I've never felt sexier or more confident in my life. It was revealing but still kept something to the imagination. It hugged all my curves perfectly.”
On the subject of her new curves, actress Lisa Rinna has apologised to Heidi for saying she would not allow her daughters to see pictures of the star showing off her face and body after 10 operations.
Lisa Twittered: "I apologise to Miss Montag if my words were taken and used against her in the press. I did not slam her or her surgeries for the record."

Katie's Baby
Katie Price has revealed that she and Alex Reid are trying for a baby.
Speaking on GMTV this morning, Katie said: "Me and Alex so want kids. We are trying, so let's hope, let's hope.
"I can't wait to get pregnant."
Meanwhile, Alex has reached out to Peter Andre, following the Aussie's tearful interview last week.
The cage-fighter said: "I've got no problem with Pete and am not trying to replace him in the kids' lives in any way.’
Katie also spoke out against claims that her and Alex are already on the rocks.
Speaking on this morning's GMTV, Katie said that she and Alex were "so happy", and blasted claims that they were set to split, just a week after the wedding: "If people really believe this there has got to be something wrong. It's a joke."

"What have I actually done wrong?"
Both Katie and Alex have also given more details about their Las Vegas wedding.
Alex said: "The ceremony was at the Wynn hotel and we kept it pretty simple. There are pictures of us choosing our rings but it's a secret how much they cost."
Katie denied reports that she had sold her wedding to a magazine: "As it stands we have not done a magazine deal.

Katie also appeared on Chris Moyles' Radio 1 show today and explained she had been engaged to Alex since last September, despite reports that the pair split in November because of Alex's plans to propose.
Katie also revealed to Chris that she is planning legal action against the Daily Star following allegations that her marriage was on the rocks.

Emma Rules Hollywood
Emma Watson has been named as Hollywood's top earner in 2009, banking an estimated £20million last year.
The results were released in the table of top 40 earners by Vanity Fair magazine - and Emma was 14th overall and the youngest person on the list.
Emma beat Sarah Jessica Parker (second with £15million) and Reese Witherspoon (fourth with £13million) to the top spot, earning a reported £10million for each of the final two Harry Potter films.
Her co-star Daniel Radcliffe placed sixth in the overall list, earning £25.6million in 2009 - with £25million coming dierctly from the final two Potter films.
Daniel beat both Johnny Depp and Robert De Niro in his earnings... so it looks like Hollywood's young stars are the ones to watch next year.
