It's the wedding we'd all been expecting...

Yes, Katie Price and Alex Reid have tied the knot in Las Vegas.

A statement released by their agent said: "Katie and Alex are delighted to announce that they got married in a private, simple ceremony at 4pm (PST) on February 2nd in Las Vegas."

The couple said: "We are very much in love and look forward to the future together. We can’t wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes."

And, following reports that Katie had figured out a commercial plan to make the maximum profit from a union, the spokesperson added: "Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place, and their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other."

There are rumours that the ceremony was filmed by ITV cameras for Katie's latest reality series, but it is not yet known whether any such footage will be aired on the show.

This news follows Katie and Alex's revelations in OK! magazine that they plan on having children this year.

Katie told the magazine: "I know this year we will get married and this year we will have kids. It's what we want."

Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex said he popped the question to Katie in September and "it's something we've been discussing for some time".

But she described dumping Reid as "a regret" and was "heartbroken" at breaking off the relationship, so it wasn't long before the couple were reunited.

He added: "It's been a fantastic start to the New Year and it's going to be even more fantastic now this is happening.

And it looks like we will be hearing the pitter-patter of tiny feet very soon with Alex wanting "two or three" kids, and Katie's desire for a "big family".

Asked if she would become Katie Reid, she said: "I'll change my passport, my cheque book, everything. I want to be traditional, the way marriage is meant to be."

Katie split from Peter Andre in May 2009.

Since splitting with Katie Price, Peter Andre apparently hasn't slept with anyone else.

But, it looks like that might be about to change.

Pete's revealed he doesn't think he can wait any longer.

Speaking to The News Of The World, he said: "OK, OK, I'm desperate for sex. It's been a long time. But it's a whole new ball game. I'm a different man, I want a different type of girl. I'm definitely cautious about women now.

"It's going to take me a long time to trust someone. I haven't done anything yet apart from think about it, but I don't want to be a monk."

It looks like he's spent his post-split time thinking about his perfect partner: "Cheryl Cole and Keira Knightley are gorgeous. They're definitely my type of girl, even though they're both taken. The weird thing is Kate was never my type...

"I fell for Kate because she was different to how I imagined, she had no make-up on and jungle clothes. I just fell in love with that girl."

Peter also hinted at some of the reasons he split with Katie: "Ultimately, a marriage has to be about trust. Once that trust is gone...
