Rihanna is a woman who makes no apologies. She makes that more than clear in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar. And one of the major things that she has no interest in apologizing for is her decision to ask Chris Brown to duet with her on her sexy hit single, “Birthday Cake.”

“I thought it would be cute to do it with a guy. I wondered, who can be dirty, someone who people will really believe?” she reveals, adding that she wanted a guy who could be shocking.

Even though she and Brown had infamously split up after he brutally assaulted her in 2009, on the night before the Grammy awards, she and Brown had by then made peace and she had rescinded her order of protection against him.

“Music is music and my fans have been asking me to record with him,” she said. “I just felt like it was time. It was time.”

Surprisingly she didn’t anticipate any negative reaction to her collaboration with Chris. “Look, I understand that people had every right to be concerned about it,” she explains to the magazine. “But I didn’t see it that way because I’m in a different place.”

She proudly points out that the song hit #2 on the charts even though it wasn’t sold on iTunes.

Of course, she’s since been sighted with Brown multiple times spending time together, especially in NYC recently before and after Chris was attacked by singer Drake‘s entourage in club W.i.P.

The 23-year-old said she made sure to get a sexual health screening in New York because she 'forgot to look after her body properly when performing live shows for The Monster Ball Tour concerts', Showbiz Spy reported.

"I had an HIV test two days ago – and it's not because I'm taking my clothes off every night with a different man.

"When I'm on the road, I forget about taking care of my body. I don't go to the doctor as regularly as if I were in one place all the time.

"So I woke up and though, 'Oh, I'm home in New York. I'm going to see my gyno and I'm getting an HIV test'," she said.

The Brit Award winning pop star actively encourages women to carry condoms in their purses to save their own lives.

She says she wants it to be fashionable and smart to always carry a condom.

The Aussie singer announced on Twitter that he will be releasing a collection of love songs.

He wrote: "I am releasing my love album on February 1st just in time for Valentines Day."

"It's got five soul classics and a compilation of love songs I've recorded over the last 15 years including an awesome duet with Brian McKnight."

It seems celebs nowadays can't go anywhere or be seen with anyone without rumours flying.

What a tough life.

So you can imagine our excitement when Madonna was spotted having dinner with old flame Sean Penn in New York.

We always thought they made a cute couple.

But, unfortunately, it was just a chance run-in according to Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg.

Liz told blogger Perez Hilton: "Madonna was at the St. Regis having dinner with friends. Sean stopped by the table to say hello. He sat for ten minutes and then left. Madonna continued with her dinner. That's all it was."

What a shame. But at least it's nice to know the two are still friends.

KATEY Sagal insists she’ll always play music.

The actress — who stars in FX drama Sons of Anarchy and also voices the character Turanga Leela in the cartoon Futurama — spent a decade touring with such headliners as Bette Midler, Etta James and Bob Dylan.

Sagal, 55, now has her own band and performs around Los Angeles.

“I’ll always play music,” said the star. “I don’t worry too much about making a killing.”

Sagal then discussed Gemma — her character in Sons of Anarchy, which was created by her husband Kurt Sutter.

“He began researching outlaw motorcycle gangs and came up with a great sort of mythology about that world,” Sagal explains. “And during that time, he said, ‘I have a part for you.’ I was excited about it. But I didn’t really know what it was. I don’t think HE knew what it was.

“I knew it was going to be dark and violent, and I was up for that.

“I spent many, many, many years doing a different kind of thing, and I was ready for a change, so ‘Bring it on!’ was what I felt like.”
