Things are going from bad to worse for actor Charlie Sheen.
A recording of his wife's emergency phone call has been released by the police.
Brooke Mueller told the 911 operator that Charlie had allegedly threatened her with a knife during the call.
She told the operator: "Right now there are people that are separating us, but I have to file the report."
Charlie was held by police after allegedly assaulting his wife and spent Christmas Day alone in a cell.
Police were called to a house in upmarket Aspen, Colorado at 8.30am on the 25th December.
Charlie had flown to the ski resort to join his wife, property investor Brooke, 31, and twin nine-month-old sons Bob and Max.
The Daily Mail reports that Charlie's been arrested on three charges of second-degree assault, menacing behaviour and criminal mischief.
He has since been released on bail after paying £5000.
Charlie denies threatening his wife with a knife.
Spokesman Stephanie Dasaro said: "Officer Rick Magnuson placed Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as Charlie Sheen, 44, of Encino, California, under arrest.
"All charges are coupled with a domestic violence component."
