The Max In A Long Dress Like Your Fave Celebs!

The last thing I want to do is get dolled up on a Sunday, but since it’s father’s day you can’t show up looking like a mess! Luckily, if you opt for a maxi dress you can still feel comfortable and won’t disappoint dad. Not only is the maxi super stylish this summer, it’s also one of the easiest things to throw on! No wonder celebs like Lauren Conrad, Kate Hudson, Katie Holmes, and AnnaLynne McCord have been sporting them in fun prints and bright colors

Olivia's Fashion

Olivia Palermo's our new style crush - the star of The City is always on-trend and, she doesn't follow fashion trends - she sets them.

Since bursting on to our screens in The City - a spin-off of popular reality TV show The Hills - just over a year ago, we've fallen in love with Olivia's quirky take on the hottest looks.

She often combines pretty vintage pieces with high street finds to give her designer look a fresh, modern feel.

An Upper East Side girl through-and-through, this socialite has studied in Paris and also at The New School in New York.

She's quickly become the hottest face to watch on The City with her roles at Diane Von Furstenberg and in the accessories department at ELLE magazine.

Since being thrown into the spotlight she's even been signed to Wilhelmina Models and appeared on the cover of New York magazine.

Madonna vs. Lady Gaga

Celebrity style showdowns don't get much more risque than this!

Lace is all the rage these days, or at least something a trio of glamorous gals we know dabble in. Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, who's known for sexy fashion on TV, and Madonna kept things a bit more demure than Lady Gaga, who went all out.

sexy pose

Yes, Scarlett Johansson, we know you're sexy.

But will her sultry shoot for Mango's Spring/Summer 2010 collection make us want to buy their clothes?

AMAZING DRESS

In times of need, we have to do some pretty drastic things. During a big freeze in The Day After Tomorrow, Jake Gyllenhaal and Emmy Rossum burnt books. Back in the real world, a recession has taken hold so this model's wearing a book. About Face, by make-up artist Scott Barnes, to be precise. We understand why she looks so disgruntled.

Sienna Miller interview

Ever wondered how Sienna Miller knows just what to wear, all the time?

So have we.

After appearing on programmes such as Richard and Judy and styling for magazines like GQ and Loaded, Hannah Sandling is a fashion tour de force.

Here we find out about a day in the life of the stylist to the stars.

What time do you get up?
I'm an early bird so it's 7am every day, including weekends. I'm all about the mornings.

What’s for breakfast?
I have the same breakfast every day - a huge fresh cappuccino with skimmed milk and a bowl of porridge with a banana.

What time to you start work?
It all depends on what I'm doing that day. If I'm working from my computer at home then I start at 7.10am (in my pyjamas), if I'm working for BBC Breakfast then it's up at 5am and if it a styling day then I start at 9am.

How do you start your working day?
Five days of the week I crack out a 20k run around London or in the gym (I'm a self confessed ultra endurance marathon runner – I recently just competed in a 250k marathon across the Gobi desert in China). I then write a huge list of what I have to do so that I can keep organised.

What trade/fashion press do you read?
I read Grazia and Vogue like they are the bible, as well as Hilary Alexander's column – she really is the queen of fashion.

What’s a typical morning like? Meetings, brainstorming etc?
Mornings are always quite chilled out – it's toward the end of the day that things get a bit more frantic when I realise that time is ticking away.

Is lunch a wrap at your desk or a meeting in town?
I'm the Tupperware queen. I love baking and popping last night's goods into my takeaway box and then usually scoffing it down in my car or on a bench in a freezing cold park.

Do you still get the urge to clothes shop being surrounded by fashion all day?
It's a nightmare being constantly surrounded by fashion. You want everything. If I like something then I somehow always end up convincing myself that I need it, and that my life would suffer without it. I do however sell old bits on Ebay or swap bits with friends, so it's not too naughty .

What’s a typical afternoon?
My afternoons usually consist of running around like a headless chicken from one meeting to another, with my mobile stuck to my head whilst hunting down Starbucks en route.

When do you finish?
Like my start times, I don’t really have a finish time. But on average I would say it's 7pm. Having said that I did once style a pop video that went on for 24 hours! That was hard.

Networking eve or night on the sofa?
I love networking and making new contacts, but there's nothing quite like getting into your pyjamas and shovelling down your dinner in front of Coronation Street.

When’s bedtime?
I'm a geek and love early nights. During the week its usually about 10pm and then at the weekends I let my hair down and go to bed at 10.30pm.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a styling guru? Any other careers appealed?
I would have loved to have been a host on a cookery show – like Delia Smith or a full time property developer like my parents.

If you could offer one piece of advice to someone interested in going into the industry, what would it be?
If you are scared of hard work then this is not an industry for you. You have to be dedicated, hard working and passionate about it all.

LADY GAGA FORCED TO CANCEL SHOW

Lady Gaga fans were left dissapointed last night as the singer was forced to cancel a show minutes before she was due onstage.

The 23-year-old singer was advised to quit the show by medics as she was feeling dizzy due to dehydration and exhaustion.

Gaga has spoken to her fans through Twitter to apologise for cancelling the show at Purdue University in Indiana.

victoria's secret fashion show

New York – The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show came back to New York City in its 14th year and took audience members on a wild journey through various themes from futuristic to classical romantic on Thursday, Nov. 19.
With black lights and lasers encompassing the whole of the Lexington Avenue Armory venue, The Black Eyed Peas took the stage just in time to get the crowd riled up as Angel Alessandra Ambrosio opened the show. The Star Trooper segment featured neon underwear sets that appeared to glow in the dark under the lights, and ultramodern arm and body pieces resembling shooting stars, spacecraft pieces and astronaut gear.
Backstage before the show, Victoria's Secret first-time models and veteran Angels, the company's more visible models and spokeswomen, shared tips, excitement and some of their favorite looks. "I've been looking forward to working with VS for so long, it's my very first show. I'm excited to be my own personality, get out there and do whatever I want to do, smile and have fun," said model Chanel Iman.
This year, Victoria's Secret booked its first Asian model to walk the show - Liu Wen from Beijing, who explained her reaction to her casting news as: "I was very surprised and excited. I'm the first Chinese model so I was so surprised."
Pink Planet was the theme of the intimate-wear company's more casual Pink line and featured an enormous pink, polka-dot dog balloon ascending from the floor of the stage. This more playful line was psychedelic in color, including Angel wings made out of balloons, with flowers, stars and hearts adding to the fun.
Angel model and hostess of the event Heidi Klum began the Enchanted Forest segment wearing a corset and half gown with draping foliage under the green leafy lights, just five weeks after giving birth to her fourth child. Angel Miranda Kerr donned vine clock wings which she mentally prepped for before the show. "This year my wings are 15 pounds, can you imagine," said Kerr. "They're super heavy. I'm not scared but my back is really going to hurt tonight. I'll need a good massage tomorrow."
Though wings get lighter or heavier from year to year, there is something special about them, a rite of passage. "My first time doing the show was four years ago. My first time as an Angel was last year," explained Doutzen Kroes. "The wings are great, still nerve racking."
"The themes are great, they're fun, a little out there, really high fashion," said model Sessilee Lopez about the show and the models. "I read on some blog the line up this year is ridiculous. It's the Super Bowl of supermodels." And though she didn't divulge any looks before the show, Lopez did mention she's "wearing diamonds and its worth over 150 grand."
Attendees and fans of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which CBS is set to air Dec. 1, included Jay-Z, Michelle Trachtenberg, Harvey Weinstein and Zac Posen.
