Tila Tequila's deny

Tila Tequila has denied she is in any way responsible for Casey Johnson's death.

The reality star has defended herself against claims she ignored warning signs in the lead up to 30-year-old Casey's untimely death at the weekend.

She wrote on Twitter: "I was the ONLY one who was constantly checking on my Wifey cuz (sic) I knew something was wrong.

"I was out of town 2 meet my Brother. I have all the text messages to prove it!"

Tila, who was engaged to 30-year-old Casey, has been accused by some of Casey's friends of exploiting the Johnson & Johnson heiress before and after her death.

"Casey cut out a lot of 'bad' people from her past to be with me cuz (sic) I was a good influence on her. We were so in love."

However, Casey's former long-time girlfriend, socialite Courtenay Semel, told People: "The thing I find the most sickening is that the media is giving (her) the one thing she craves: attention. Tila, you knew her for a week."

Tila also crossed swords with Casey's childhood friends Nicky Hilton and Bijou Phillips this week after they came to collect Casey's puppies from Tila.

The 28-year-old said the pair planned to put the dogs down - a claim which Bijou denied.

Casey leaves behind three-year-old adopted daughter Ava Monroe, who will be cared for by Casey's mother, Sale.

Kathy Hilton, Nicky Hilton's mother, is Ava Monroe's godmother.
