Christmas Carols

Christmas carols are sung throughout the Christmas festive season all the way up to the New Year celebrations. Christmas carols relate to Jesus, the winter season, the festivities and the like. The hymns bring in a certain emotion in one when sung on ones own or in choir. The melody tends to fill ones spirit with great happiness and you could catch yourself smiling on your own at times simply listening or humming the tune!

Christmas carols heighten the flavour of the winters and somewhat garnish the festivities. No wonder we all await the seasons greetings and celebrations very eagerly.

It is difficult to segregate the best Christmas carols in particular. There are thousands of carols and hymns and somehow each one of them happen to be some or the other ones’ favourite. At the same time we could simply set aside the carols that are based on Christmas episodes including the birth of Jesus. The following episodes would be a keyhole to the huge rack of carols known to mankind:

    * The Star of Bethlehem
    * The journey and adoration of the Magi
    * The annunciation

Another collection of carols that could be grouped as the best Christmas carols would be those that are composed for the kids.

    * All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth
    * I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
    * I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas
    * Nuttin’ For Christmas
    * The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)
    * Monster’s Holiday
    * You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
    * Snoopy’s Christmas

A number of artists in their successful music careers have composed and sung a number of Christmas carols. Few tunes have been immortalized by them and they are more like Christmas anthems…remember ‘jingle bells’.
One of many such famed artists would be Jim Reeves. I know you are remembering your personal favourite now!
